Joe Calzaghe absolutely dominates Jeff Lacy

God damn! Lacy didn't deserve to win a single round... what a show by Calzaghe! All 3 judges saw it the same way 119-105, 119-107, 119-107... all for Calzaghe. And, as if Lacy's beatdown wasn't embarassing enough, he's probably regretting his blustery pre-fight yip yap... since he ran his mouth all week about how he was going to kick Calzaghe's ass. Like this:
"My youth, my strength, my determination, my whole outlook and preparation, everything gives me the edge,"
Ummm... Jeff, you had no edges tonight. You were clobbered.
“The fight will not go the distance.’’
wrong.
"He hasn't fought a guy who hits anywhere near as hard as me and that will shock him"
Riiiight. Calzaghe was 40-0 Jeff. He hasn't lost since 1990! You don't win 40 consecutive professional fights by accident. And you know it's bad when your promoter has to bank on your opponent breaking one of his hands for you to win.
"If Joe's hands are brittle and he breaks a hand hitting Jeff Lacy, he cannot fight Jeff Lacy with one hand," said Lacy's promoter, Gary Shaw. "That I guarantee you. The fight will be over then and there."
LOL. Calzaghe hit Lacy about 300 times tonight... and the only thing that got broke was Lacy's face. In the end, it was Calzaghe who got the last word:
"I'm ecstatic, not just beating Lacy but demoralizing him, and totally outclassing him and I think I showed the world."
