"No Fly" Follies
Well whattya know...? One of King George's political enemies, James Moore, author of the book "Bush's Brain" made "the list". I wonder how that could have happened?
Preschooler Shows Up On 'No-Fly' List
And today NPR's Morning Edition ran this: Crayons Too Sharp?
The Department of Homeland Security says it's been fixing the problems with its no-fly lists. So it was the "corrected" list that included the name of Edward Allen. Over the holidays, he was almost prevented from boarding a flight from Houston to New York. The story repeated itself on the way back. Mr. Allen might never have been able to board the flights at all without the intervention of his mother. This suspect on the no-fly list is four years old.

schmuck fatigue
Reid says Chertoff should resign. And I entirely agree, though anymore I seem to be suffering from schmuck fatigue when it comes to Chertoff. There is nothing that Chertoff does as Secretary of DHS that shouldn't have always been done by the Secretaries and Directors of the Federal Agencies that are now unenviably caught up in DHS's "amorphous blob of nothingness" TM.

hack it up George... quick, while no one's looking
So, Bush decided to sneak a few more cronies and unqualifed misfits into what has now become the most incompetent Presidential administration in America's history (show me one that was worse...).
Here's the list.
I like how Ellen Sauerbrey, who has zero redeeming qualities and even less experience, is now an Assistant Secretary of State. Prior to her appointment, Ms Sauerbrey's most notable accomplishment was losing a bid to become Maryland's Governor in 1994, and being a complete annoyance to every legislator in Maryland's General Assembly. I knew Ms. Sauerbrey personally when she was a Delegate from the same District as now-Governor Ehrlich. She was easily the least liked member of the General Assembly and trust me, what she lacks in friends, she more than made up for with... actually, nothing. She's hopeless. Nice job George! You really know how to pick a loser.

does anyone else find this utterly hilarious?
or is it just me?
Bush reaches beyond inner circle on Iraq policy
Pandering in 2006 to the people who screamed from the mountaintops in 2003 that you were too stupid and arrogant to realize that you needed their help won't change the fact that you fucked up when you refused.
I wonder how many of these folks are thinking exactly what I'm thinking: You made your bed George, now sleep in it.
